Hi. I've traslated your guide in italian and posted it in my weblog. Good luck with your "only Ubuntu".
Thanks for this interesting post. Nice app.
I've traslated your post to spanish and I I have put it in my weblog:

Binny,
I agree that it is good to know how to do it at the CLI. But even I get tired of doing it that way sometimes. So a nice gui tool is always nice to have as well.
Hopefully the desktop folks will take notice and build it into kde, gnome, xfce, ...

Mount has trouble with some of the third party image formats, such as nrg, as the files contain headers befor eth eiso9660 part, so maybe this would allow one to get around using 'dd' to convert these images to plain ISOs before mounting.
Also, not everyone likes terminal commands, so this utility has it's place.
Nice, but it does seem a little silly to make an app for Ubuntu (gnome) that requires kde based dependencies.
hmm, great tip!! I wiil traslate it into chinese later!!
AcetoneISO2 in QT4 has just been released and is able to mount ISO BIN NRG MDF IMG , has a cool display and GUI and doesn't require password to mount! it also has a lot of new features!
Ubuntu Support for gnome without additional KDE applications is available here:
http://download.tuxfamily.org/3v1deb/pool/feisty/3v1n0/fuseiso_20061017-0%7E3v1ubuntu0_i386.deb
How about an AMD/64 version for Ubuntu 7.10?
gmount-iso does almost the same and is Gnome native....
I was looking for something to mount an encrypted .iso for storing passwords, but as the readme for AcetoneISO states they use the binary only PowerISO library I don't think I can bring myself to trust it without all the source code. Maybe it's unnecessarily paranoid - but why take the risk when I don't have to?
Looks like it's back to the command line for me.
The .deb location is no longer valid.
AcetoneISO doesn't exist on the site anymore.
updated with new link
